With furnishings made from unconventional materials on the floors and walls, even the smaller rooms feel refreshingly airy and exude cheerfulness and high quality. This personally managed 2-star superior family-run hotel with 11 rooms and 32 beds was completely renovated inside in 2012 and is located at 1,268 meters above sea level.

Ski-in/Ski-out-Hotel
Le Petit Relais is located directly next to the main entrance of the Saanersloch valley station, offering 109 kilometers of ski slopes with snowmaking available until April. You can ski right up to the hotel door. The hotel is situated at 1,268 meters above sea level.

Tourist Taxes
The tourist tax is CHF 4.40 per person per night and CHF 2.20 for children aged 12 to 16 years.
In the village of Saanenmöser
The village shop and, in winter, two sports shops are open 7 days a week.
Arrival
- Free outdoor parking is available from the day of arrival through the day of departure.
- Saanenmöser train station is 400 meters away. Trains to Zweisimmen and Gstaad run hourly, 1-2 times per hour. The last trains also run just before and after midnight.

Reception open for check-in from 16.00 - 19.00 or individually on request. Luggage can be deposited at reception at any time free of charge.

...oops...words fail us. They run the business, help wherever possible and do their best for you as a guest. All with local roots, an unspeakably strong team from the neighbourhood. All of them have been with us for many years, for which we are very grateful!- Marlies Schmid, married to Klaus, has two big children and lives next door and comes to Le Petit Relais 1-2 days a week during the day
- Christine Schwizgebel, married to Türi, also has two big children and comes to Le Petit Relais 1-2 days a week during the day
- Stéphanie Matti, married to Klaus, has two big daughters and comes to Le Petit Relais 3 evenings a week and daughter Lili has already worked with us during the school holidays
- Petra Locher, joins us this winter as an all-rounder and is immediately recognisable by her Valais dialect
- Renzo Günthardt, from Prilly near Lausanne, cooks with us and cannot be overlooked at his 1m93 cm height
Son Janne
He is now 17 years old and cooks potato gnocchi with his mate, but is happy to help out in the hotel for a little extra pocket money. He is working as an apprentice polymechanic in his 3rd year of training in Zweisimmen. In winter, he loves to ski down the Saanersloch and Horneggli slopes and still enjoys building igloos in front of the hotel.
Your host Solveig
Solveig Lanz Kernen, who grew up in the hotel industry and is a qualified hotel manager, is delighted with the successful hotel concept and looks forward to looking after guests and spoiling them with culinary delights. Rediscovering ski touring or skiing in fresh powder snow is a winter highlight for her. Her local e-mountainbike route takes her over the Schlittmoos to the Hornberg, where she enjoys every spare minute.
Your host Thomas
Thomas Kernen supports his wife Solveig and pulls the strings in the background as a self-employed civil engineer and building valuer. He loves telemark skiing as a former racer, alpine skiing and is also always good at cross-country skiing.

"We felt very comfortable in this hotel. It is close to the railway station (5 minutes) in Saanenmöser near Gstaad and very quiet in the countryside. Our room was beautifully furnished.
