The art of baking
at the highest level

Enjoy it daily from 7:45am to 10:00am: for example the Ankebrot - an old Saanen recipe for plaited bread or the sunflower bread. The finely baked bread comes from Schönrieder Wehren Bäckerei.

From the coffee machine you can get your coffee from freshly ground quality coffee beans from Giger Café or a hot chocolate and for those who like it a cappuccino to pamper the morning hours at breakfast.

The balanced and rich breakfast buffet includes honey from Hans Burkhalter from the village next door and jams with a high fruit content, carefully produced in Switzerland and much more for a relaxed start to the day. Enjoy it daily from 7.45 am to 10.00 am.n.
 

Experience the special flair in the garden to the full

Our spacious garden with sunny terrace is a real highlight for anyone who wants to enjoy time outdoors. In addition, our self-service bar with barista coffee and a selection of refreshing drinks is at your disposal. Picnics are possible in summer.

Dinner in winter always starts with freshly prepared salads from the buffet

We find products that have been cooked seasonally in our Alps for generations very sensible, and we also take the idea of the transportation route for products into account. In addition to the origin of the products, the conditions under which they were obtained are important to us and we choose the appropriate qualities when purchasing. Organic products can be found everywhere in our spice drawer or pantry. We only buy our meat from our trusted butcher Buuremetzg in Schönried, bread comes from the Wehren bakery.

informal and personal: at dinner in winter there is now a fixed main course to suit the season and cooked fresh every day, so that you will always want to come back to us.

 

Winter evening finale: the always popular desserts

At the end of the evening in winter, enjoy a delicious sweet dotting on the “i”. We cook according to family recipes, but also choose new creations, e.g. from Annemarie Wildeisen or what we have tasted elsewhere. "Bon appétit!

and which wine suits you?

Red wines, be it a Swiss Belle Etoile from the Valais or the popular Barbera from Marco Porello, are available at fair prices from CHF 35.00. If the bottle is not empty in the evening, you can leave it for the next day. All guests receive free water: it is included in the menu price at mealtime.

Are you celebrating and
in the near future?

Would you like to hold a birthday party, confirmation or other event with a meal at our restaurant? We will be happy to advise you. We will pay particular attention to your personal wishes. Enchant your guests with a celebration where you can be part of the party from start to finish. 
In the months after the high season, we recommend that the restaurant be prepared for parties of up to 50 people. Menu ideas / suggestions:
